Update 1.16 - Tourneys, Weapons and Runes - Oh my!
New Feature - Weekly Tournaments
A CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT
At the beginning of every week, players are placed into a Tournament. Over the course of the week, you’ll compete in a different Daily Dungeon each day with unique requirements, bonuses, and challenges. Defeating enemies earns Points, with more Points awarded for enemies found deeper in the Dungeon. At the end of the Tournament, rewards are given by Leaderboard placement.
Tournament Rewards
Completing a Tournament higher on the Leaderboard will get you better rewards! If you’re one of the Top Three in a Tournament, you’ll get to wear a time-limited Gold, Silver, or Bronze Crown for the next week to flex your prestige!
Tournament Ranks
Placing high enough in a Tournament graduates you to a higher Tournament Rank. The enemies are a bit harder, but you’ll get even better rewards! If you’re too low on the leaderboard at the end of a Tournament, you might get demoted to a lower Tournament Rank.
Tourney Tokens
You can play each Daily Dungeon once for free. After your free play, you’ll have 5 Tourney Tokens that you can spend to replay Daily Dungeons and try for a higher score. You only get 5 Tourney Tokens every week, so spend them carefully!
New Weapon - Shade Shank
Stab through the Darkness
The Shade Shank has emerged from the void! This is our first ranged Sword that shoots bolts at enemies. Use your ability to Shadow Walk, turning you invulnerable and dealing damage to enemies you pass through.
Abilities
The Shade Shank is a ranged melee weapon, allowing you to attack with both projectiles and up close attacks.
Shadow Walk - Become an invulnerable shadow and traverse in your target’s direction, damaging and Cursing enemies along the path.
Void Bolts (Passive) - Your basic attacks fire ranged bolts.
Perks
Here is a quick preview of some of the new perks that will come along with the Shade Shank:
Dark Reflection (Uncommon): You have a chance to reflect projectiles.
Void Armor (Rare): Striking an enemy that has low health grants a stack of Permanent Armor
Tendrils (Epic): Send out bolts towards random enemies while you Shadow Walk
Shadow Renewal (Legendary): Defeating an enemy with Shadow Walk resets its Cooldown
Vampiric Bolts (Legendary): Your third attack fires a cone of Void Bolts that Lifesteal
New Runes
Two new Runes have been introduced!
OFFENSE Runes
Flame Burst: When you use an Ability, deal damage and Burn nearby enemies.
Wounding Strike: Hitting a full health enemy applies multiple Wounds to them.
Max Level Items
If you have maxed out an item, you’ll now get Gold as a reward.
If an item was maxed out prior to this change, the next time you receive an item of this type it will retroactively reward the Gold.
